Danabol DS is one of the most frequently mentioned steroids for muscle growth in bodybuilding. In combination with Sustanon, other testosterone preparations or boldenone, the original text reports significant gains in strength and muscle.
What is Danabol?
Danabol is the trade name for methandrostenolone (Dianabol), a synthetic anabolic-androgenic steroid. It is an orally active derivative of testosterone, which was originally used medically, but is often abused in bodybuilding.
What positive effects do users expect?
From a pharmacological point of view and according to experience, it is stated:
- rapid increase in strength,
- rapid weight gain,
- higher protein synthesis,
- better nitrogen retention in muscles,
- subjectively faster regeneration.
Importantly, some of the rapid weight gain comes from water retention, not just pure muscle mass.
Health risks and side effects
Danabol is 17-alpha-alkylated and therefore can be very hard on the liver. Possible risks include:
- increased liver values and liver damage,
- worsening of blood lipids (LDL up, HDL down),
- increased blood pressure,
- suppression of the body’s own testosterone production,
- acne and hair loss,
- mood swings,
- gynecomastia due to aromatization to estrogen,
- higher risk of cardiovascular disease in the long term.
Hormonal suppression can lead to loss of libido, fatigue, and muscle loss after discontinuation.
Combination with other steroids
The term “stacking” is often used in bodybuilding jargon, meaning combining multiple anabolic steroids to enhance effects or offset side effects. However, such practices are not medically proven, significantly increase the risk of side effects, and pose serious health risks. Therefore, no specific recommendations are given here.
Post-cycle therapy (PCT)
After the cycle is over, “post-cycle therapy” is often mentioned, which is supposed to restore your own hormonal production. Here too, it is true that independent hormonal manipulation without medical supervision is risky and can permanently damage the endocrine system. Hormonal disorders should be addressed exclusively by a doctor.
