Halotestin is the trade name for fluoxymesterone, a potent oral anabolic-androgenic steroid. It is a synthetic androgen and a 17-alpha-alkylated compound, which makes it orally active but also places a substantial burden on the liver. It has been used medically in selected forms of male hypogonadism, delayed puberty, and historically in the palliative treatment of certain androgen-responsive breast cancers. It is prohibited in competitive sport. 

Reported anabolic and androgenic effects
