Oral stanozolol, often known as Winstrol, is an anabolic-androgenic steroid derived from DHT. It is 17-alpha-alkylated, which allows for oral efficacy but also increases the potential burden on the liver. It has been used in medicine in the past for selected conditions, such as some forms of anemia.
