Testosterone suspension is an injectable form of testosterone without an ester, often referred to as testosterone base. It is dissolved in an aqueous suspension, has a very rapid onset of action and a very short duration. It was used medically in the past, but is rarely used routinely today.
Basic characteristics
- ester-free testosterone
- aqueous injection suspension
- very fast onset of effect
- short duration of action
- rapid rise and fall in testosterone levels
Reported anabolic effects
- very rapid increase in protein synthesis
- rapid increase in strength
- higher nitrogen retention
- short-term performance boost
- increased production of red blood cells
Aromatization
This form of testosterone can also be partially converted to estrogen, which can bring both anabolic effects and estrogenic side effects.
Generally described combinations
In the bodybuilding scene, testosterone suspension is rarely mentioned on its own. It is mentioned with longer-acting testosterone esters as a base, with other injectable AAS in bulking phases or in competition preparation.
Risks
- cardiovascular diseases
- hormonal dysregulation
- gynecomastia
- high blood pressure
- psychological side effects
Cycles and dosage
Due to its very short duration of action, frequent administration to maintain the effect is described in the illegal environment. Specific doses or cycle lengths are not safe and use without medical indication is risky.
